A home in Delhi, so their education doesn't wait.

Since 2013, we've provided food and a safe place to stay for blind girls who come to Delhi from other states to attend college.

Away from home, but not without one.

Idial Society for Visually Impaired is a hostel that has been running since 2013, built for college-going blind girls. Many of the girls who stay with us travel from other states to study in Delhi, and simply have nowhere to live while they do.

We provide feeding and boarding, so that finding a safe place to sleep and eat is never the reason a girl has to give up on her degree. None of this is possible without the people who choose to support it — the hostel runs entirely on public donation.

Feeding

Regular meals, taken care of, every day — one less thing for a student living far from her family to manage on her own.

Boarding

A shared room, a bed, and a place that's theirs for as long as they're studying in Delhi — so travelling from another state for college doesn't mean travelling without a home.

Residents spending time together as a community

A community

Girls living alongside others who understand the same journey — studying together, supporting one another, and building independence side by side.

Life at the hostel

Ordinary days — studying, talking, coming and going — made possible by an address to come back to.

Every meal and every bed here comes from someone's donation.

The hostel doesn't run on fees the girls pay — it runs on the people who decide to help. If Idial Society's work means something to you, your support keeps a bed, a meal, and a safe place to study available to the next girl who needs one.
